Hi everyone, I am hoping for some suggestions. I will be visiting at the end of the month and would love to hear some recommendations. We will be traveling with our 1 yr...where is a good place to stay in the French Quarter? or near?
Also, since our child is still so young, what restaurants are open to babes?
Thanks for any ideas and take care!
Advice? First time in NO and traveling with a toddler
I%26#39;m responding to this so it will bump it up to the top for you. I think you need a suite-type hotel (kitchenette and more space) set-up but I%26#39;m not sure if this exists in the Quarter. I know that there is an Embassy Suites nearby in the Warehouse District.
Hopefully the New Orleans experts will respond.

I was able to secure a room at The French Quarter which was spaciously appointed and had a full kitchen.. i was travelling with my one year old and had no problems.. i also did not run into any problems with any restaurants.. although, im not ashamed to admit, my boy behaves extremely well
:)
The one thing i will say is that if you plan to move aorund with a stroller.. it does become a bit of a hassle someplaces.. the city is odler and therefore, some places require steps or have small entry ways which made getting in and out of places difficult with a stroller
other than that.. a great time.. my son really enjoyed leisurely strolls along the river
sorry.. the name of the place was The Quarter House..
I recently went to NO with my 15 month old twins and 5 yr daughter. We stayed in the CBD area, a couple of blocks from the Riverwalk.
the main reason we stayed there was because of the hotel. We stayed at the Staybridge suites, had a full size kitchen and that was great since we had snacks/juice/milk etc to deal.
