Airport to FQ - Cab vs. Car Service?

Can someone please infomr me whether it is better to take a cab or use a car service as transportation to FQ from airport? If Cab, what is the standard cab fare? If car service, what is the fee and what companies do yuo recommend? Thank you kindly!

fixed price cab fare $28 + $1 gas surcharge one way ;shuttle is $26 roundtrip but stops at many stops (hotels), I don%26#39;t know what the rate is for Nicolls Limosine service.

Use United Cab 522-9771. It%26#39;s the most reliable cab service in NOLA. I%26#39;ve never waited more than 10 minutes after calling them from the hotel.

I%26#39;ve used the Airport Shuttle several times, $26 roundtrip, and have found it quite convenient. Yes, there may be passengers staying at other hotels, but drop offs have always been quick and efficient, in my experience. You can order and pay at the airport or make reservations online.

Where are you staying? A lot of FQ hotels have their own service.

In the forty some times I have visited I did not know this. Can you name some as we will be coming in October and again in December and have not yet made hotel reservations. It would be very handy I think. Thanks.

I%26#39;d also like to know which FQ hotels have their own service. I%26#39;ve never heard this either. It%26#39;s certainly not complimentary as the case with airport hotels.

Last year when I came into town for Tom Fitzmorris%26#39;s book signing at Dickie Brennen%26#39;s Bourbon House I stayed at the Royal Sonesta and they provided me a complimentary van to the airport the next morning.

Well you must be a V.I.P because I just called the hotel directly and was told this service does not exist. She was very helpful in giving me the phone number of the shuttle service based at the airport as well as a local cab service. And the, (A lot of FQ hotels) others?

Sorry but the hotels do not have pickup vans. I don%26#39;t know of any.
