Ok Guys, I need advice from the locals if possible.
I am driving myself nuts and well to be honest I%26#39;m driving my fiance nuts to lol.
I am interested in going to one of the spirited dinners for tales of the cocktails at Mr B%26#39;s and heres where the craziness comes in.
We have a budget and we%26#39;ve budgeted up to 4 ';great'; restaurants so my 2 choices would be this:
1) We can go to ';Commanders Palace, Mr B%26#39;s, Nola or Delmonicos and a 4th great restaurant ';looking for suggestions if you have any.';
2) We can got to ';Commanders, Mr B%26#39;s (Spirited Dinner one), Nola or Delmonicos and that would be it for great restaurants due to the price of the spirited dinner.
What do you guys think? Has anyone been to the spirited dinners before?
I am extremely conflicted, on one hand I get a extra dinner at one of the best places NO has to offer on the other tales of the cocktails only happens 1 time a year.
Note: For what its worth, this is my first trip to NO, and it will probably be a couple of years before we get back there.
Need Advice ';Resturants'; Choices
To get the cajuny flavor I%26#39;d have to add K-Paul%26#39;s under selection #1.
Need Advice ';Resturants'; Choices
Ill defintly take that into account! I just looked and I am liking Red Fish Grill and K-Pauls.
PS: Anybody know where to find smoe good catfish? I am assuming that could be found on the cheap
catfish inexpensive...Maspero%26#39;s on Decatur and Mulate%26#39;s on Julia and convention center blvd.....
Coop%26#39;s Place off Decature had a great fried shrimp %26amp; oyster plate, best we%26#39;d ever had %26amp; we fry a lot of things in the south. I would bet they have catfish also, they had a large menu. Next to J.Buffett%26#39;s near French Mkt. Great place %26amp; on the less-expensive side. Don%26#39;t let the sports bar / local scene scare you off. You won%26#39;t find a bad review of that place on TA, it%26#39;s great !
I don%26#39;t recommend Red Fish, there are far better restaurants than Red Fish in NOLA.
What about jacquimos on maple for a fun declicious dining experience?
I have to agree with adding K-Paul%26#39;s in there.
Acme Oyster House is a good place for fried catfish.
Wow i thought red fish looked great. We are looking to stay in the French quarter if possible so jacques is out. Im looking at K-Pauls and acme for lunch ';mmmm catfish %26amp; poboys';
Any other suggestions?
I%26#39;ve found the Red FIsh Grille to be crowded, noisy, and the food was good but I thought the grilled redfish was far superior at Muriels and in a nice quiet atmosphere.
Ah ill remember that!
Oh ya! The people im going with want to go to Mike Andersons, is this place still open? I keep getting reports saying closed
Mike Anderson%26#39;s in the Quarter is closed. The only others I know about are in Gonzales and Baton Rouge.
