Royal Sonesta

My husband and I are planning a short vacation to New Orleans - we have reservations at Royal Sonesta - please let us know if this is a good choice.

Royal Sonesta

I think it%26#39;s a good choice. Great location and nice hotel.

If you enjoy sleeping, though, don%26#39;t get a balcony room overlooking Bourbon. They can be very noisy!

lol the balcony rooms can be insanely noisy but also really fun!

The Royal Sonesta is my favorite hotel in the French Quarter. The lobby is incredibly beautiful, and we were very happy with our room. We had a problem with the in-room safe (dead battery), and someone was there within minutes to fix it for us. We had a room that overlooked Bourbon Street and we weren%26#39;t bothered by noise...although we are in our fifties and our hearing might not be all that great!!

If you are light sleepers, avoid street side rooms.

If you like to sleep in (or sleep uninterrupted), get an inside room. You will be thankful.

Great hotel and good choice.

This is where a lot of the celeberties stay. I saw Brad Pasiley there during Mardi Gras a couple of years ago. It is suppose to be one of the best hotels in the Quarter, if not the best. I like to eat there and go to there lounge to relax or cool off.

Stayed there Friday night- it was wonderful. Had reservations for a king and they gave us a patio/pool view room without asking. Just wonderful, quiet, beautiful. OK- one thing- not their fault- someone pulled the fire alarmat 0330!!!!! Yipes!
