I would agree, the lounge in the Ritz is as good as it gets for upscale live music. The hotel is on Canal Street - which the edge of the French Quarter, so you will not have to take a cab.

Thanks, we are staying at the Chateau Lemoyne, which I believe is close to Canal.

Barb, the Bombay Club, in the Prince Conti Hotel, is on Conti St., about 1/2 block from your hotel.

And at the Ritz Carlton, French Quarter Lounge Bar, has Marva Wright through September and she is great. Jeremy Davenport often plays there also.

Agree with the recommendations for the French Quarter Lounge and Jeremy Davenport. We like to play dressup and go every couple of months and I always half expect to see Frank, Dean, or Sammy there. Classy and elegant.
