Good cheap hotel not too far from the action???

Hello everyone

We are hoping to do a bit of a last minute break the weekend after next to NO. There seem to be some great deals on hotels (several $50 which seems to good to be true to me). The problem is that I don%26#39;t want to book somewhere that looks good online but turns out to be miles from anywhere or in a dodgy area.

We can%26#39;t afford any more than $100 a night, and would prefer less than that. Any suggestions???

We just got back from New Orleans last night. We stayed at the Prince Conti hotel. it was 55 a night and 24 for parking. The hotel was one block from Bourbon Street. It was walking distance to anywhere, beautiful, clean, and the staff was wonderful. The Prince Conti has a sister hotel called the Place D.Armes, and it is in an excellent location, as well. Check out their website for prices. They are both in perfect locations and safe areas.

Check the St Ann Marie Antoinette. Located right in the middle of FQ on Conti (between Bourbon %26amp; Royal). About $65 a night. Has a pool and great hotel bar (Claire%26#39;s).

I%26#39;d go with the sister hotel group..Prince Conti, St. Marie, and Place D%26#39;armes. I%26#39;ve heard some complaints on the St AnnMarie lately on maintenance etc.
