Liquor stores and Grocery stores

I will be staying at the Dauphine hotel in New Orleans and I was wondering where I can go to by a bottle of wine and some snacks to take back to my room. Are there any Liquor stores close by and how about a Grocery store?

Any recommendations of some decent restaurants within walking distance?

Norm, read through the forum and you%26#39;ll find tons of restaurant suggestions. Anything in the French Quarter is within walking distance. I will note that Bayona is very close to the Dauphine Orleans (assuming that%26#39;s where you%26#39;re staying--there%26#39;s not a ';Dauphine'; hotel) and is a great restaurant.

The best liquor store is Vieux Carre%26#39; Wine %26amp; Spirits on Chartres between St. Louis and Conti. Just 3-4 blocks from the hotel. A%26amp;P grocery store is at St. Peter and Royal, just a couple more blocks away. It%26#39;s small but relatively well-stocked for its size. There are many small corner groceries in the Quarter, including one on Dauphine near the hotel. Ask the hotel staff!
