Our family have a trip planned for the week of august the 5.We have a 4 year old we plan to go to the zoo and other kid spots ,does anyone know if the street preformers are out during the week or just on the weekend also if you could recomend some more things to do it would be helpful

There are street performers, especially at Jackson Square, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Do remember that August is ';low season'; and there won%26#39;t be as many street performers as usual due to the heat. The upside is lower hotel prices, of course, so it all works out.

The Aquarium/IMAX and Louisiana Children%26#39;s Museum on Julia are must-dos with a 4 year old. I%26#39;m glad you%26#39;re going to the Zoo as I think it%26#39;s a really good one.

They would probably also enjoy going on the free ferry to Algiers and then going to Mardi Gras world to see where the Mardi Gras floats are made, and would probably enjoy a buggy ride around the Quarter.
