Accomodations / what to do for 8 - 10 person group

I am planning a bachelor party for around 8 - 10 people (late 20s, early 30s) in late January, potentially over MLK Day weekend. Predominantly interested in great live music and great food. I would like to stay in the FQ area, however, ideally, we are looking for more of a large apartment / condo style rather than a large hotel.

Any suggestions (as well as good group restaurants / music venues) are greatly appreciated.

Good luck finding apartment/condo, nothing available since Katrina. Check craigslist.com and you might find something.

thanks...do you know anything about chateau orleans...i%26#39;ve heard you can get two places accomodating 5 each which would work for my purposes.

It%26#39;s nice. You%26#39;re better off in the French Quarter, you don%26#39;t need a car, can walk everywhere. Just stay on the river side of Bourbon st. and you%26#39;ll be fine.

Do a search on this topic. You%26#39;ll find that even if available, short-term rentals of condos/apartments for less than 60 days is ILLEGAL in the French Quarter, 30 days elsewhere in New Orleans.

Stick to a hotel or (ideally) rent an entire B%26amp;B. They pay taxes and have the proper insurance.
