Which is the best French Quarter Hotel to stay at with easy access to Bourbon Street??? The Inn on Bourbon is too expensive...
I%26#39;m debating between St.Marie, Price Conti, St.Louis, and Dauphine Orleans...
Any help is greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance!
Best French Quarter Hotel near Bourbon Street???I have only stayed at the Hotel St. Marie from your list and really liked it. It is 1/2 block from Bourbon St. in the main area. Some of the rooms have shared balconies facing Toulouse St. From there, you can see Bourbon St. I got lucky in March and scored a $49 per day rate for 3 days. This was a same day reservation, check in though. I had to extend my trip and booked the room and checked in on Sunday.
Best French Quarter Hotel near Bourbon Street???Take a look at the St. Ann Marie Antoinette located on the 700 block (between Bourbon %26amp; Royal) of Conti St. It%26#39;s old but clean and quiet. Great hotel bar (Claire%26#39;s) right on the patio by the pool. Very reasonable rates. We%26#39;ll be there next week.
When are you planning on going to NO? Were staying at the Inn on Bourbon for a 3 night weekend in Aug for $303 total.
I%26#39;m staying in NO on Oct.26,27,and 28th for Voodoo Fest.... All the hotels have jacked up their prices for that weekend. Inn on Bourbon is like $260 per night... I%26#39;m thinking I%26#39;ll go with the St.Marie, $209 fri %26amp; sat, $140 sunday...
hey troodat............the quarter is really pretty compact and the cross-streets off of bourbon aren%26#39;t all that long. If you look at hotels (like the villa convento) 2-3-4 blocks away it%26#39;s not that far a walk at all. good luck!
Do yourself a big favor and skip the rec. for queen ann marie antioinette and skip the st louis..both properties are in severe need on renovations and attitude adjustments. I haven%26#39;t been in the Dauphine Orleans in a number or years but can highly vouch for the Price Conti and St Marie and they have some of the lowest parking rates in the quarter. I%26#39;ll be at the prince conti this weekend.
I definitely recommend the Hotel St. Marie. We%26#39;ve already booked for that weekend and I know it was filling up quickly. Looking forward to New Orleans and Voodoo Fest.
I know it%26#39;s more expensive but I personally would stay at the Inn on Bourbon for your purposes.
I%26#39;ve only stayed a few places in NO, but my absolute favorite is the Hotel Maison de Ville. It is a peaceful haven just half a block off of Bourbon Street and is positively dripping in the kind of slightly crumbling, old world charm that NO seems to have cornered the market on. The pool is a couple blocks away at the Audobon Cottages, but it%26#39;s not that much of an inconvenience.
One of life%26#39;s greatest pleasures for me has been sitting in my featherbed with a silver breakfast tray full of freshly baked goodies and coffee and listening to music from the Court of the Two Sisters wafting in the open french doors...what a way to start the day!
Maison de Ville can get a bit pricey, depending upon the dates of your stay, but there are bargain weekends to be had if you%26#39;re flexible.
