Hotels near, walking distance to FQ, kid friendly

I%26#39;ve been to New Orleans several times and love that city. Last time I went, we took my oldest child to the zoo, aquarium. This time I want to take her to the children%26#39;s museum, and to the FQ. I want her to get a feel for New Orleans.

I need suggestions for a kid friendly hotel within walking distance from the FQ. We have a set of twins (15 months old) plus a 5 yr old, so we need something within a reasonable distance. a pool would be great.

I just stayed at the Homewood Suites in the Central Business District for one night with my husband and 15 month old. It rained almost the entire time we were there, so we never attempted to walk to the FQ from the hotel (it%26#39;s at 901 Poydras). The hotel was very nice and we really liked having a seperate bedroom from the living/kitchen area. This hotel has an indoor pool but we never got around to checking it out. They also have a free breakfast each day. I would recommend this place for families but I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;d suggest it if you want to walk to the FQ with your 15 month old twins. If it%26#39;s hot down there, that would probably seem like a long walk. Maybe if the weather is nice, it might be ok? Of course, if your twins will be in a stroller, that would help, but it might be a long walk for the 5 year old. I know there are tons of hotels in the FQ but am not so sure how many may be set up to easily accomodate a family with 3 kids. Hopefully, some others can give suggestions.

We stayed at the Place D%26#39;Armes last month and had plenty of room for our teens to set up the two single air mattresses on the floor. Our room (number 127??) was quite large. We felt like we had our own little courtyard, since we were in the back of the property (their courtyard has three levels). We didn%26#39;t see another guest around us until the third day. As for location, we could see Cafe DuMonde from the front of our hotel! They have a small outdoor pool, with plenty of shade close by since it is in the courtyard.
