NOLA in October

Booked our trip. Staying at Place d%26#39; Armes. We took some great advice from this forum and can%26#39;t wait to get there.

Sounds lame...but how do you pronounce Place de%26#39; Armes. I know the dialect is a bit different.

Just my husband and I for our 25th anniversary. Any ';tame'; blues/jazz clubs that would appeal to us?

Doing Cajun tours with combo swamp/plantation. Cocktail tour and maybe the Katrina and Garden District. Will be there a week and no car.

Thanks for all the great tips!

There may be different ways to pronounce the hotel, but I%26#39;d say:

';Plahs-D%26#39;arms'; (emphasis on the ';D'; but not a hard ';D'; - rhymes with ';farms';

Spend your time on Frenchman Street, in the Marginy for local music clubs. Snug Harbor, Blue Nile, Cafe Negril and the Spotted Cat. Very safe and local
