Chateau Lemoyne / Street Noise

We have booked a long weekend in NO at this hotel. We are starting to read that there is ALOT of street noise. We booked the front view room with a balcony, thinking this would be nice, but I am rethinking it now. I would like to hear some opinions on this, plus, could someone tell me what the view is of on the balcony and are they private or common balconies? Are the pool view rooms nice? And, do they have balconies?

I have read quite a few of the reviews and as always, what one person describes as unbearable, doesn%26#39;t bother another. I am hoping someone will answer who has been there lately, and respond to the other questions.

Have you stayed there?

I stayed there a couple of years ago and we had no noise from the street. We did not have a balcony room. In fact, the window in our room didn%26#39;t open at all. It was a good value for the price and we enjoyed our stay there. They have a nice little bar downstairs which was virtually empty during our stay. There is a piano in there, and they even let my fiance play a bit one night.

I will write a review, but we are not going until next Spring. I am hoping that someone else will write some before then.

Stayed there the night of the Sugar Bowl and don%26#39;t recall any big problems with street noise...but generally street noise is not a big bother for me.
