Cigars

I%26#39;m coming down to New Orleans in 11 days. What are the best places to get good cigars? I know the Cigar Factory is pretty good-any others? Thanks!!

Cigars

We initially stopped at the Epitome Cigar store many years ago, that I think was on St. Louis, and visited it many times on various trips. But is now moved.

I think it%26#39;s now called Kingfish Cigars (not sure of the name). Anyway it%26#39;s at 631 Royal Street, We popped in few years ago, bought cigars and just happened to ask the guy about the Epitome. He says, yeah, that%26#39;s what we used to be, before we moved.

Easy to find, right around the corner from Pat O%26#39;s St. Peter entrance. In fact it shares the side wall of Pat O%26#39;s patio in the back of the store.

Good humidor, nice folks, comfy chairs. A Pat O%26#39;s mint julep and a fine cigar and stroll Royal St. My girlfriend actually joins me in this ritual. Only time she smokes cigars.

Heaven.

Cigars

Gumbo, great advice. I will take it. Thanks!

Pretty cool and sexy for a lady to smoke a cigar!!!!!!

The Cigar Factory makes a pretty good cigar...nothing spectacular but a pretty good smoke. Like most cigars, they would be a little better with some aging. It is interesting to watch the rolling process, though.

Although not in the Quarter, the New Orleans Cigar Company is located on the ground floor of a high-rise office building at 201 St. Charles, only a block from Canal Street. The store is closest to the side entrance of the building on Common Street. Good selection of all the major brands and the prices are less %26#39;touristy%26#39;.

NOLA, great, I%26#39;ll check it out in 6 days :-)
