Club La Pension

I recently returned from a week stay at Club La Pension and was very happy with the room. I stayed in the one bedroom w/ balcony at 125 Decatur, which is the second building. The building is old, so the rooms are not very large. It was comfortable for 2 people and had a small kitchenette and was clean. The hotel is only a short walking distance to a few attractions: the aquarium, Riverwalk, Harrah%26#39;s casino, the dock for riverboats and the ferry, Bourbon St.

It is also a short distance to the trolley car that takes you along the river to the French Market.

Overall, I was pleased with my experience with the hotel.

Does it have a living room as well or just a one room living/ sleep room with kitchenette? I%26#39;m staying there the first part of Oct. Thanks for report and info.

Thanks for the review! I am staying there start July 13 my first time in Nawlins!

Does la pension have wireless internet?

We%26#39;ve stayed there several times but not in the last several years. Not since before Katrina.

We%26#39;ve always had a one-bedroom unit, which does have a separate living room with dining area and small kitchen. I don%26#39;t believe they have any studios, which would be the one-room kind of unit.

One time our 1-bedroom was a townhouse type, with the bedroom upstairs. The other times it%26#39;s been all on one level, but with a separate bedroom. Some units have Jacuzzi tubs, but not all I think. You might want to call ahead and see if you can get a unit with a Jacuzzi. Some units have balconies, and you can go up to the rooftop, too--lounge chairs up there (unless it%26#39;s changed.)

We are trying to get more current info. Please do a post when you return in Oct., or e-mail me with your thoughts on the resort.

BTW, we%26#39;ve never been sales-pressured to buy a timeshare there. They may offer you a tour of the building, but unless they%26#39;ve changed, you won%26#39;t be bothered with any sales pressure.

Hope this info is still valid, and appreciate your info on your return. Thanks--

Oh, billabongi--

I don%26#39;t know about the Internet, and it%26#39;s been a few years anyway.

Please let us know about your trip! Thanks--
