Couple of Questions (parking & swamp tours)

Hi all, I%26#39;ve been reading and reading through the forums to get a good idea of how my trip will be to New Orleans. We%26#39;ll be traveling out to New Orleans for Labor Day weekend. Just to give a small recap of what I have planned so far:

Friday night (get in around 11pm and getting a rental car at MSY)

Staying at Courtyard on St. Charles, most likely go out for some cocktails that night

Saturday:

Getting up early and driving towards Laura Plantation. Maybe stopping by, not sure (any ideas??). Stopping and getting lunch at B%26amp;C Seafood (is it good?). Going on a plantation tour at Oak Alley, and actually going to propose to my girlfriend there out by the big oaks (worth it doing it there...Guys don%26#39;t need to comment on me not to get married, etc..) And then driving to Cypress Bayou Casino for a Sister Hazel concert at the casino. (anyone know any info on the casino?). Finally after a most exhausting trip, driving to Houma and staying somewhere there. (don%26#39;t really feel like driving all the way back to NO.

Sunday:

Getting up early again, driving back to NO.

Need some ideas to do something this day. Maybe drive around the city, or thinking of a swamp tour. Anyone know of anything on the way from Houma to NO that is pretty good? Finally staying the night at the JW Marriott.

So now my question is, if we get in late enough on Friday, can I park the car at Harrah%26#39;s and do the trick of gambling of 30 mins and getting my ticket validated and leaving the car there over night and picking it up early on Saturday. Or should I just take the buck and pay for parking at the hotel. Figured we%26#39;d be getting in late on Friday so there would be no parking on the street nor any legal parking without getting a parking ticket.

Finally, is staying the night in Houma worth it, or should we just drive back to NO that night. I know it will be a 2 hour drive but just curious.

Thanks for the help guys.

Couple of Questions (parking %26amp; swamp tours)

Oh my goodness congrats on proposing!

Oak Alley would be the perfect place. The oaks%26#39;s roots come out enough that you can sit on them and everything. I always thought it would be the perfect place to get engaged....so cute.

haha just make sure your girlfriend doesn%26#39;t read tripadvisor to ruin the surprise...oh and someone let my bf know I want to get engaged at Oak Alley too, I%26#39;ll give you his phone number...
