Croissant D'Or Patisserie--open or not?

I have just recently heard of this patisserie and am dying to try it. I could swear I%26#39;ve recently read about it on a trip report on this forum. However, when I ';googled'; it, I found the www.neworleansonline.com website saying that the location is closed. Is this true or is that website just not updated yet? I would appreciate an answer from someone down there who knows! Thanks so much!

Croissant D'Or Patisserie--open or not?

They are most definitely OPEN..the usual 7AM-2PM. I just called them and they are contacting new orleans on line to correct the bad information. Great place!!!

Croissant D'Or Patisserie--open or not?

I%26#39;m not sure if they%26#39;re open 7 days/week.........anyone else that may know about that???

Thanks so much for letting me know and for giving the hours. I can%26#39;t wait to try them out!

They are open for sure. I believe they are closed on Mondays but I%26#39;m not 100%.

Thanks for the information about Mondays! That%26#39;s actually when I wanted to get by there. Oh well. I%26#39;ll be coming into NO on a Sunday, so maybe I can make it by there in the afternoon and pick up a few extras for Monday.

I seem to recall that the NO zoo and aquarium are also closed on Mondays. Is this correct? If so, why are so many things closed down there on Mondays? Are these places closed down on certain days b/c business has not gotten back up to what it was before Katrina? Just curious. Thanks!

Monday closings have nothing to do with Katrina. Many local restaurants close on Monday simply to have a day off. The weekends are the busiest times, obviously, and Mondays are typically slow. The same applies to tourist attractions such as the ones that you mentioned. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised at how the city is doing.

Croissant d%26#39;Or made my wedding %26amp; groom%26#39;s cake by the way. They%26#39;re divine! I also highly recommend Sucre on Magazine if you make your way Uptown (and they are open 7 days a week).

Thanks for the information about Mondays and about the other place to eat. We%26#39;ll have our 1 year old with us so we%26#39;re looking for good food at very casual places! That makes sense about Mondays being the ';off'; day.

I%26#39;m really looking forward to visiting NO again. I was last there the July before Katrina hit. It will be good to visit again and take my son there for the first time. We%26#39;re hoping to visit the aquarium on Sunday afternoon, early evening. We%26#39;ll save the zoo for a future trip and hopefully, see it at a cooler time of year.

One more question--are there ever any 2 for 1 offers for the aquarium or some type of discount for adult tickets? Thanks again!

To to www.neworleansonline.com and request a ';Good Times Guide';. There%26#39;s all kinds of discount coupons for the zoo, aquarium, river cruises, etc. You can also view the coupons online and print them out if you don%26#39;t have time to wait for the guide to arrive.

Thanks for the tip about printing the coupons. Good idea b/c my trip to NO is coming up very soon.

Lee4...also check out the Louisiana Welcome Center on St. Ann at Jackson Square as they have the latest tourism books and discount slips and that way if you need multiple discount slips you will be able to get them. Many of the coupons though are good up to 4 people.
