I need to find a reasonable clean hotel near the cruise ship dock. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Every hotel in the French Quarter or downtown is reasonably close to the cruise terminal. If you just have to be close by (which really does nothing for you since you still need a cab!), I%26#39;d suggest the Renaissance Arts, Hampton Inn/Marriott/Holiday Inn Select (all on Convention Center Blvd) or the Hilton Riverside.

I would just stay at the Holiday Inn in the FQ if you are looking for a decent and cheap hotel
Stayed there a couple times because of the price and it isn%26#39;t bad at all
thanks, I will check it out.
On the other hand I%26#39;ve been very disappointed with the Holiday Inn FQ for maintenance, noise, and long waits. They serve as a parking garage for many local workers. Now the Holiday Inn Superdome is a different story..nice lounge, restaurant, and great staff and maintenance. Plus a shuttle into the FQ running quite a few times a day.
The closest hotels are in the Warehouse District. The Marriott has a few properties in the WD and there is also an embassy suites.
Once again, there%26#39;s really no reason to be ';close'; to the cruise terminal when nearly every hotel in the city is a 10-15 minute cab ride away AND it%26#39;s not like you have to be there at 6am anyway! For your noon or 1pm arrival at the ship, you have plenty of time to catch a cab from anywhere downtown. I%26#39;d personally pick a hotel you%26#39;ll ENJOY and make the New Orleans portion of your trip that much nicer!
