Just got back from Shreveport

Had a great time and wanted to let everyone on the forum how our trip went.

We arrived at the Eldorado Hotel Sunday around 4:00pm. Our room was ready so check in was a breeze. No lines but the rooms were going fast. We traveled with another couple and were not able to get rooms on the same floor. I can%26#39;t say enough about this hotel, the service was excellent, rooms were very nice, and everything was spotless. The only complaint I had was the bed was a little harder than I like, but that is a matter of taste.

We tried the buffet and snack bar and both were very good. IMO the buffet at Eldorado is much better than Sam%26#39;s Town but not as good as Harrah%26#39;s Race Track.

We play slots and blackjack mostly at Eldorado. The slots were paying enough to let you win here and there. No major wins. My husband enjoyed the blackjack tables, said the dealers were very nice and helpful to beginners. Early in the day he was able to get on $5.00 dollar tables very easily. At night they were packed!!!! They also had a really good variety of slots.

The also have Hold Em tables with Sit-n-Go games and tournaments.

We played a little at Diamond Jacks and Boomtown. These casinos seem dark and not very clean to me. Also the machines were very crowded together. But both casinos are being remodeled so will try them again at another time.

We left Shreveport Tuesday morning to head home. Can%26#39;t wait to return in Sept. or Oct. If anyone has any questions I will be glad to try and help you out.

We are going for the first time for an overnight stay this Friday....

Do they have cheap games, as in $5 craps and $5 BJ? We want to play for a long time!! :)

There is $5.00 blackjack tables but I am not sure if they stay that amount on weekends. If they do it will be early in the day, the busier it gets the higher it goes. I am not sure about the craps tables. I believe our son played at Sam%26#39;s Town for $5.00 but again it was on a weekday and not very crowded.

Where are you staying? Hope you win big. We have a really good time there.
