Lilette is my favorite restaurant on Magazine. Authentic French cooking in a non-pretentious atmosphere.

If you want more casual, I like Cafe Rani.

My daughter and I had a nice lunch at Table One several Saturdays ago. It%26#39;s located at the corner of Magazine and Washington near Commander%26#39;s.

I agree with the Lilette recommendation. sooooooo good. My mouth is watering thinking about the gnocchi right now! If you like sushi, Sake Cafe is near the intersection of Magazine and Washington and is absolutely wonderful. On the opposite end of Magazine is another one of my favorites, Taqueria Corona (Mexican) near Nashville and Magazine. Also Reginelli%26#39;s Pizza at State and Magazine has awesome pizza, salads, and pasta. Near the Napoleon and Magazine intersection is Nirvana, my favorite Indian restaurant. You can order off the menu, but I wouldn%26#39;t because I love their lunch buffett so much - so good. Have fun!

Had lunch at lilette yesterday--very nice

A glass of Alsace

each had chilled sweet corn broth with avocados and lump crabmeat

then I had salami sandwich and my wife had the veal cheeks salad.

All was well done and nicely served. Tables are close and you may end up talking to the next table as we did Dave
