I%26#39;m going to NO for the first time with my husband in mid October. We have booked a room on Burgundy St. Is this close to most attractions and bars; like walking distance? Also, is the weather nice around that time of year? Are there any %26#39;halloween/autumn%26#39; activities going on? Thanks!
October Trip Questions
Where exactly on Burgundy is your hotel/room? It should be close to the FQ.....
Check www.nola.com for a list of events the dates that you will be here - there are probably several things going on, not to worry!
October Trip Questions
LOL.....this thread reminds me of the first time we stayed in a New Orleans B%26amp;B. It was in the 3800 block of Burgundy......just a tad too far to walk to the French Quarter.
I stayed at the burgundy B%26amp;B almost 3 years ago and it took like 15 minutes to walk to the French quarter. Also my travel companion befriended a crack head he met at the gas station down the street....never again!
I think the weather is great in New Orleans in October. Still good shorts and tshirt weather but the humidity goes down. As for Burgundy it could be a good location would need a cross street or address to tell you how close it is to everything.
O.K. Thanks. I%26#39;m not sure where exactly it is at. We rented from www.historicrentals.com. if any of you have used them..... I hope it%26#39;s not too far, but for the price, we couldn%26#39;t pass it up!
I just found out the address; It%26#39;s 835 Burgundy......
that is right smack dab in the French Quarter.
What is thenameof this place?
I%26#39;m not sure. We got it through www.historicrentals.com. It%26#39;s a condo.
Yes, you are staying in a location that is prime for walking. You should be able to walk to all sorts of restaurants and attractions. Someone on here suggested that you check out www.nola.com. That%26#39;s a good suggestion. Pick up a copy of Gambit at any coffee shop - it%26#39;s what we locals read to find out what%26#39;s going on.
October is a GORGEOUS time of the year here! It is generally sunny and warm in the day, comfortable and cool at night. It%26#39;s the perfect time of year to dine out of doors, and you will have lots of options for that while you are in town.
