7 days until we come down to New Orleans for a week. Starting to get really excited. We are coming down for a week in July and again in August. We intentialy waited until the middle of summer instead of going earlier in the year. This way we had something to look forward to all year instead of using up our vacations too early. Anyway can anyone tell us the house of Preservation Hall? We%26#39;d like to go this time. Also does Big Al have a set schedule for when he plays at the Funky Pirate? Thanks all!!!!

Thanks. Listing to a set by Big Al was one of the highlights of our last trip. Really really can%26#39;t wait to set foot on the plane and fly down. We%26#39;re flying out of Pittsburg this time as it%26#39;s MUCH cheaper than Clelevland or Akron plus parking is only $4 a day. Amazing.

In the past Big Al Carson would be singing with the Blues Masters on Thursday through sunday nights coming on around 9:15 to 9:30 but he has been know to vary his schedule depending upon his other committments and his health.

Yah well when you save $200 on the flight and $60 in parking alone it%26#39;s well worth it to fly out of Pittsburgh. I hate Pittsburgh also but I%26#39;d rather spend the $260 saved in New Orleans.

you ought to have timed it about right. it ought to give you something to think about next january when it%26#39;s below freezing back home cause new orleans right now is hotter%26#39;n a times square rolex, not to even mention the humidity. conjure up that thought come super bowl time. i always wished i could just put some fo the heat and humidity in a bottle to save for later on. enjoy your trip!

PaulHunter, try to allocate some time (if you are a religious micro brew fan) for The Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh either leaving or returning.

I%26#39;ve flown into/out of Pittsburgh a few times rather than CAK or Cleveland, and make it a point to stop there for a couple brews.

Gumbo, thanks for the tip. I%26#39;m flying out at 11 AM though. A little too early to hit the beer for me though. Although maybe I%26#39;ll bend that rule. :-)
