Plan to visit the FQ next week and want to go to a Fortune Teller. Any suggestions/favorites, how to tell the good from the bad, and maybe approximately what the cost would be?
The website for the Tea Room looks interesting ...
Fortune Tellers
The psychic holding up a sign with your name on it knew you were coming....that%26#39;s the good one. All the others are frauds.

I don%26#39;t believe in this stuff either, but have done it for fun on 3 occasions. Twice it seemed to be a bunch of hooey, the other time was incredibly accurate. The %26#39;accurate%26#39; psychic was a skinny middle aged woman who went by the name of Ms. Styx and she twitched a lot. I don%26#39;t know if she is still around after Katrina or not.
You paid whatever you wanted, I paid her $20.
My daughter-in-law, who was desperate to get pregnant, went to the Tea Room five years ago and they told her she would be pregnant within two years...she%26#39;s still waiting.
I wish I knew a good answer for this one!! I don%26#39;t know but I%26#39;ll see if any of my friends know any of them.
Well..this is not my cup of tea but I would reccommend the bottom of the cup tearoom for the readings as the ones in Jackson Square are definitely a different type. I know of one who was an artist and the paintings weren%26#39;t doing too well and set up a table for %26#39;readings%26#39;..anything to grab a $$$. Attempts to get rid of the crystal ball crowd have failed.
Wow, thanx for the information everyone. I just find this kind of stuff facinating. I%26#39;m definitely going to give it a try. I%26#39;ve read a couple of replies about the bottom of the cup tearoom, sounds like a good place to start. Maybe I%26#39;ll try other places and pick the fortune I like best! LOL.
Really appreciate everyone who uses this forum too. I%26#39;ve requested info from the hotel, sent emails to the hotel, the Tea Room, etc, and no one responds. This seems to be the most effective way to get some clues for a trip.Thank you all again.
I%26#39;ve had a reading at Bottom of the Cup Tearoom. I don%26#39;t know if they still do it, but they used to record it and give you the tape to take with you. I think the best reading I ever got was at Rev. Zombie%26#39;s Voodoo Shop. I%26#39;ve also had one at Yesteryear%26#39;s. Just some other places you might look into. And what about the Wicca store? Oh, I%26#39;ve forgotten the name. Is it on St. Peter or Ursalines? Maybe someone here will know.
NOLA B%26amp;B - Good answer!
4NOLA - thank you for the names of other spots; reallyappreciate it.
