coming to LA in april. will be staying in alexandria. would like info on places to go, people to see, things to do.

will be returning to RIO in dec. would like to find something interesting and unusal to do, if possible.

Not much to do in Alec as the folks there call it but check out the Cane River area around Nachitoches, Melrose Plantation is lovely.

';El-leck'; would be the actual pronunciation. There%26#39;s lots of outdoor activities around Alexandria, if you like that sort of thing. Dozens of lakes to fish, trails to hike or bike on, a few plantations to visit, some museums, etc, etc. I would hit some spots on the Wild Azalea Trail, fish the Cane River, maybe visit historic downtown Natchitoches.
