October would probably be your best shot at getting nice weather. October%26#39;s generally still warm, but not hot. Rainfall%26#39;s usually at a minimum then, too.

Out of those months I would take October too. My preference is April. Weather is usually fantastic. Sometimes it can get a little hot. It may be because the French Quarter Festival is in April too that I like it so much. Great event!

October is great but remember the prices will be higher at the hotels due to this being a convention heavy month.

Thank%26#39;s,I%26#39;am going to look at October. April is sounding good also.

I%26#39;ll be back looking for more info.

Just be aware that April is a very busy month in New Orleans, with the Tennessee Williams Festival, the French Quarter Festival, and Jazzfest. There are also a number of large conventions to consider. Make your hotel reservations early, and don%26#39;t expect to find cheap accommodations..

Thank%26#39;s. Now i%26#39;am starting to wonder, when is the best time to visit.

We do a lot of walking. that is why i%26#39;am trying to be carful about the

heat.We think nothing about walking 3/6hours in a day, just looking

and stoping for lunch/snaks. Then resting. back out walking to dinner, show, etc. And of corse shopping.

I have been April and October, both are great times to go. Granted April is a little more expensive with French Quarter Festival and Jazz Fest. October was less crowded(at least when we went and that was the weekend before Halloween) and we are planning another trip this October:)

I live in the area. January is not a goos time to come to LA., it gets a lot colder than people think. October and early november are nice times of the year, I also agree that April is nice. If you like music at all, the jazz fest (last weekend of april/first weekend of may) is not to be missed although the city is more crowded at that time.

I have been there in both October and April, and thought the weather in October was the best. The last time I was there in April, it was very hot - we found out later that heat records were broken while we were there. But, April does have the French Quarter Festival, one of my favorite times of year to visit. Many of the restaurants set up stands and sell samples of their food outside, and there are stages set up all around the French Quarter where you can hear every kind of music imaginable, by local musicians. I prefer French Quarter Fest over JazzFest because French Quarter Fest is free, and it is local musicians, not well known musicians. Plus it is held in the French Quarter and JazzFest is held at the fairgrounds, which looks just like any other fairgrounds. Just my humble opinion, I%26#39;m a huge fan of French Quarter Fest and a mediocre fan of JazzFest.

Thank you all.
