First of all, a big THANK YOU to all the posters in this forum. My wife and I will be visiting in Sept/Oct (her first, my second) for 8 days and I have a good list of things to do and restaurants and even drinks to try!!
I do have a couple of questions which I will be posting over the next week or so. My first question - are there any walking tours that cater to or are better for people who are slow walkers?
I know she would enjoy a cemetery and/or voodoo tour. Thanks in advance.
Walking Tours for Slow Walkers?
I recommend the Grey Line Cocktail tour.

Also, Historic New Orleans Tours or Save our Cemeteries is best for cemetery tours.

Walking Tours for Slow Walkers?
The National Park Service has free, ranger-guided walking tours of the FQ: http://eventful.com/events/E0-001-004271613-7@2007072209)
And, a self-guided walking tour:

The url for the Southern Comfort Cocktail tour is invalid. However, searching under ';gray line tours new orleans'; found the Gray Line site -- I%26#39;m assuming the Cocktail Tour is what you are talking about.
Downloaded the self-guided tour from the CVB.
Both the ';Save our cemeteries'; and the ranger tour look promising.
Thanks.
Go to the visitors centre on St. Anne Street/Jackson square and they will give you some good advice. They also have leaflets with maps on good self guided walking tours. We went on a cemetry tour with a park ranger, it was $15 and worth every cent. You do not need to book, just turn up at either 10am or 1pm outside cafe Beignet (i think) on Royal st. The tourist centre will give you a leaflet.
